Leonel Kahn, MD

Dr. McCabe earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine after completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia where she majored in biology and psychology. She completed her residency at the University of Colorado. Dr. McCabe is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. McCabe specializes in spine, musculoskeletal and electrodiagnostic medicine. She is passionate about enhancing and restoring functional ability and quality of life for her patients utilizing a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach. She is proficient in ultrasound guided joint injections, trigger point injections and fluoroscopic- guided joint injections and utilizes these skills along with medication management, therapeutic exercise and psychological support to help her patients heal and thrive. She also performs electromyography (EMG) studies to evaluate for carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar neuropathy, peripheral neuropathy and cervical and lumbosacral radiculopathies. Dr. McCabe also performs Botox injections to treat conditions such as spasticity, thoracic outlet syndrome and chronic migraine. She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. In her spare time, Dr. McCabe enjoys spending time with her two boys, husband and dogs, exercising and traveling. Dr. McCabe welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.

Dr. Evan Weitman, M.D., FACS, is a Surgical Oncologist at Piedmont Healthcare. Dr. Weitman earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City and completed his residency in General Surgery at New York University. During his residency he also completed a 2-year research fellowship to study lymphedema at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He finalized his formal training with an additional 2-year fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.Dr. Weitman is board-certified in General Surgery and board-certified in Complex General Surgical Oncology by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology. Dr. Weitman is also Director of the Piedmont Melanoma and Sarcoma Clinic. Dr. Weitman’s clinical focus is in surgical oncology, including the management of skin cancers such as melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma and merkel cell carcinoma. His special interests include the surgical management of locally advanced melanoma with a multimodality approach using oncolytic viral therapy (TVEC). He also has expertise in the surgical management of soft tissue tumors, gastrointestinal tumors including gastric and pancreatic cancer, and neuroendocrine tumors. Dr. Weitman also has formal training in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery.Dr. Weitman has published numerous papers about the impact and surgical management of complex melanoma and has also published extensively on lymphedema, swelling of the extremity that can occur after lymph node surgery.
