The Ladson Genealogy Library in Vidalia, Georgia, originated as a passion project for John E. Jack Ladson Jr. in the 1940s, evolving from a personal collection into a public resource through the John E. Ladson Jr. Historical and Genealogical Foundation. Following Mr. Ladson's passing in 1999, the Ohoopee Regional Library System took stewardship of the collection, which now boasts over 30,000 books, photographs, microfilm, and maps.
