Keep Pickens Beautiful
Keep Pickens Beautiful, formerly known as Citizens for a Clean Community, has been serving the Pickens County community since 1989. As part of the Keep America Beautiful Program, they strive to improve the quality of life by raising public awareness about litter and waste reduction. Through their recycling initiatives, they have successfully diverted over 1 million pounds of waste from landfills to be recycled and reused. Additionally, they focus on beautification projects, such as installing a Memorial Garden and painting historical murals, and recognize individuals and businesses through their Green Awards for their efforts in reducing environmental impact and beautifying the community.
With a dedicated Board of Directors, including President Vered Kleinberger, who brings over 10 years of experience to the organization, Keep Pickens Beautiful is committed to serving the community in various ways. They offer programs like Adopt-A-Road and Edible Jasper, provide educational activities for schools and youth groups, and are always ready to assist businesses and groups in any way they can. Through their continuous efforts, Keep Pickens Beautiful strives to create a clean and beautiful environment for Pickens County.
