History

It all started back in 1956 in the sea-side town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey and was originally known as Mike's Subs. The original owner, Mike, thrived off the seasonal tourist industry and a small population of year round residents. In 1975, Peter Cancro, only 17 years old at the time, purchased the business with the help of his high school football coach. When the company began franchising in 1987, Peter renamed the business Jersey Mike's Subs.Today, there are 1,500 Jersey Mike's locations open and in development nationwide.

Specialties

Jersey Mike's, a fast-casual sub sandwich franchise with more than 2,100 locations open and under development nationwide, has a long history of community involvement and support. Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's serves authentic East Coast-style subs on fresh baked bread - the same recipe it started with over 60 years ago. The company's mission is to bring its customers the highest quality, freshest made sub in the industry and give back to the communities in which it operates.

Even though it's in the airport, it was up to the usual Mike's standards. Very good sandwiches. Way better than other chains I've tried.

Service is slow.... in the ATL, where speed should be of the essence. The booth opened late, and service was way, way too slow. This sub was not made with an ounce of care or love. I ordered the...

One of the few places open later in the evening, so no other options. There was one guy slicing and 15 people in line when I started. Eventually another employee started taking orders and slicing...
