Howard B Stroud Elementary School

Established in 1990, Fourth Street Elementary School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Georgia Accrediting Commission. The school offers lessons to more than 400 students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school features a fundamental academic program with an emphasis on reading and math skills. It operates through special education teachers, school nurses, speech and language pathologists, psychologists and academic coaches. The school has a media center that offers a collection of Internet resources, books, magazines and newspapers to stimulate the intellectual development of students and staff. Located in Athens, Ga., Fourth Street Elementary School is managed by the Clarke County School District.
