Houston County Board of Education

Houston County Schools Board of Education, located in Perry, Ga., governs schools in Houston County in middle Georgia, through its superintendent and board members. Its school system provides educational services for more than 24,000 students in over 35 campuses located throughout the county. Many of its schools have obtained state and national recognition for their achievements. It provides staff with the resources to develop instructional programs and assessment strategies to improve student achievement in all content areas. It allocates instructional resources and trains teachers and administrators, to improve student performance, especially in mathematics. Houston County Schools Board of Education promotes a public information program to build cooperative relationships among schools, parents, community services and governmental agencies.
