History

Welcome to Haygood Weekday Children's Ministries! Thank you for looking into our programs. We have operated since 1970, and for the past forty-five years, we have enriched the lives of children in our community with love and education. Currently, we offer four programs: Our Child Development Center is a full-day program for children ages six weeks through pre-K. Our year-round hours of operation are 7:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Our Half-Day Preschool offers classes for children ages twelve months through six years. Our hours of operation during the traditional school year are 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. (we also offer enrichment programs until 2:00 P.M. for children three years and up). Our after-school program, The HUT, offers care year-round for elementary school-age children, from the end of the school day to 6:00 P.M. Every summer, we offer five weeks of summer camp for children ages two years through six years. Its hours of operation are 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

It is our mission to foster healthy, well-rounded childhood development in an accepting, supportive environment where each individual is respected as a child of God. To that end, we offer a rich variety of year-round programs to meet the needs of children from birth through fifth grade, staffed by some of intown Atlanta's most loving and tenured teachers. Whether you're looking for a half-day or full-day preschool, a 5/6 class or after school care, Haygood offers it all , including a diverse range of enrichment programs - from tennis and karate to dance, dramatic arts and more.
