Harper-Fowlkes House, located in downtown Savannah on Orleans Square, is an architectural gem built in the Greek Revival style. The house showcases life in mid-19th century Savannah, reflecting the experiences of both the wealthy and those employed in the home.
Purchased by noted preservationist Alida Harper Fowlkes in 1939, the house is filled with furnishings and art collected during her 40 years of ownership. After her passing in 1985, the property was entrusted to The Society of the Cincinnati in the State of Georgia and continues to serve as a headquarters for this American heritage group.
