Hannan Elementary Magnet Academy is an educational institution that provides academic classes and extracurricular activities to more than 350 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It supports music and art activities. The school operates a computer laboratory, guidance department and library. It offers an accelerated reader program. Hannan Elementary Magnet Academy conducts classes in math, science, social science, computer technology and physical education. It also provides the Title I program. The school works in partnership with Walmart. Its parent-teacher organization works for the overall development of the school and organizes various fundraising events and activities. Hannan Elementary Magnet Academy is administered by the Muscogee County School District, which enrolls more than 30,000 students in over 60 schools and alternative centers. The Muscogee County School District employs a work force of nearly 6,000 people.

Grace Christian School, located in Columbus, Ga., operates as a ministry of the Grace Baptist Church. The Catholic school admits students of any race, color, nationality and ethnic origin. Established in 1979, Grace Christian School is approved by the Georgia Accrediting Commission. Its curriculum is a combination of A Beka and Bob Jones. The school offers classes in a variety of subjects, such as Math, English, history, science and social studies. Grace Christian School also offers several sports activities, including soccer, basketball, cheerleading, volleyball, softball and baseball. Grace Baptist Church offers a range of groups and clubs, including choir, family training, Sunday school, midweek service and master club.
