Greenwich Cemetery
Greenwich Cemetery, established in 1933 as the Greenwich Addition to Bonaventure, is the youngest of Savannah's municipal cemeteries, situated on the historically significant Greenwich Plantation. This 65-acre cemetery features manicured gardens, ancient statuary, exotic plant specimens, and scenic views of the Wilmington River and adjacent marshlands.
A designated 3-acre section known as Greenwich Park serves as a passive park and meditation area for visitors, surrounding a 12-acre artificial tidal pond. The cemetery not only offers a peaceful retreat but also provides prime cemetery space with perpetual care managed by the City of Savannah.
