Formed in 1902, Goodwill Industries International Inc. is a voluntary organization providing customized job training, employment placement services and other community-based programs. Located in Jonesboro, Ga., the company caters to youth, seniors, veterans, immigrants and people with disabilities, criminal backgrounds and other specialized needs. It trains people for jobs in hospitality, health care, banking, retail, information technology (IT), office administration, custodial services, food services, manufacturing and other industries, depending upon the needs of local employers. The company has a network of more than 165 independent, community-based Goodwill stores in the United States and Canada.
