History

Having treated athletes of all ages, at all skill levels, Dr. Furie has been able to get players back to the playing field throughout his 12 years in practice. Just as importantly, Dr. Furie has been able to use the newest techniques and most modern equipment available to get young and old arthritic patients back to activity. After undergoing five surgeries on his knees in 2007, Dr. Furie is well aware of the difficulties associated with having major surgery, both the physical and emotional stress. Dr. Furie has been able to take this experience as a patient, and use it to help others navigate their road to good health and pain-free activity with the least amount of obstacles.

Global Orthopedics is an orthopedic practice serving patients in Atlanta, Georgia and the surrounding areas. Our board certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Eric Furie offers personalized care and treatment for pain in the shoulders, knees, and hips, as well as rotator cuffs, arthritis, carpal tunnel, ACL repair, and more. His fellowship training is in Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy and Joint Reconstruction and he specializes in arthroscopy of the shoulder and knee, and joint replacement of the hip, knee and shoulder. Treatments are performed either through conservative treatment with medication, bracing, therapy, or surgical intervention. As an athlete himself, Dr. Furie has sustained and overcome many sorts of injuries and has a special interest in getting his patients of all ages back to participating in everyday life at full capacity.
