Originally from Guntersville, Alabama, Dr. Patel graduated from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama with a degree in pharmacy. After a rewarding and successful career in pharmacy, Dr. Patel chose to further his education.He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Georgia, and completed his anesthesiology residency at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Patel finished his post-graduate training at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas, one of the premier pain management training programs in the country. Dr. Patel is a board-certified anesthesiologist with subspecialty training in pain medicine.At Southern Pain and Spine, the team provides innovative, evidence-based, and compassionate pain management care.
