Floyd County Police Department

The Floyd County Police Department works to ensure the protection of human lives and assist individuals who are in danger of physical harm. The department provides surveillance protection services for private, business and public properties. The Floyd County Police Department maintains an investigation division that conducts investigation against crime, such as homicide, assault, rape, robbery, burglary, theft and arson. It works with a team of more than 75 sworn officers. The department covers a patrol area of over 510 square miles. The Floyd County Police Department serves the population of nearly 93,300 residents. It responds to more than 59,000 service calls annually. Located in Rome, Ga., the Floyd County Police Department is governed by the Floyd County Board of Commissioners.
