History

James A. Stephens, O.D., F.A.A.O. started his practice in Quincy, Florida in 1969, after graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry. Since then, his mission has been eye care excellence in Tallahassee and its surrounding counties. We currently have seven optometry offices, and one ophthalmology office, serving North Florida and South Georgia.

At Eye Savers, we have Optometrists and Certified Optometric Technicians specializing in Routine vision and contact lens services. Our doctors treat eye injury, infection, allergy eyes, dry eyes and ocular diseases. We have the latest in optical equipment, including computerized testing and digital imaging, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. We offer competitive pricing on all contact lens brands. We have a wide variety of eyeglass frames, from budget styles to designer brands at discount prices. We also offer prescription and non-prescription designer sunglasses, including Calvin Klein, Nautica, Nike and Costa Del Mar. We have a friendly, knowledgeable optical staff to assist with your eyewear selection. Adjustments and minor repairs are complementary. We are providers for most vision plans, major medical insurances and government assistance programs. We also offer Care Credit financing, 6-12 months same as cash, for purchases of $300 or more.
