Effingham Hospital Care Center, located in Springfield, Ga., is an extended care center operated by the hospital. The center is one of the hospital-based nursing homes in Georgia providing personalized care services. Its range of nursing facilities and services include emergency and overnight observations, postsurgery care, swing beds, illness and disease management, and respite and hospice care. The center s surgical services department performs cataract surgery, laparoscopic and general surgical procedures, urological and orthopedic procedures, colonoscopies, gastroscopies, foot surgery, plastic surgery and various other procedures. It offers cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, and respiratory therapies. The center provides a variety of imaging services, such as mammography, ultrasound, CT scans and bone densitometry. It also organizes several events and activities for residents, including games, music, arts and crafts, aerobics and clubs.
