HistoryDr. Robert Burns started East Metro Eyecare over 30 years ago with the goal of providing the highest level of eye care services and products to our patients. We provide comprehensive cornea and contact lens care. After an eye examination we evaluate your eyes and determine which type of contact lens will best suit your individual needs. We prescribe all major brands of soft and ridged contact lenses. Additionally, we prescribe custom designed contact lenses for special needs as well as special eye problems. Our Optical Service provides high-quality frames and lenses for lifestyle, occupational, and recreational needs. Frames for all ages, infants to adults, are available. Our services range from spectacles for general use, to specialty lenses for sports, hobbies, or occupational use.

Dr. Meron Fantahun, OD was born in Ethiopia and moved to Atlanta, GA as a child with her family, where she was raised. She attended Emory University and continued her graduate studies at NOVA Southeastern University College of Optometry, where she earned her Doctorate in Optometry. She completed her clinical training at OMNI Eyecare and Bay Pines Veterans Medical Center. Dr. Fantahun provides comprehensive eye exams and specializes in the treatment of dry eyes. She is involved in the Georgia Optometric Association and serves as an ambassador for the Atlanta Optometry Divas Association.
