Decatur City Dance

Decatur City Dance, established in 1952 as a Junior Company of Atlanta Civic Ballet, is the oldest performing dance group in DeKalb County. It became an independent entity in 1962 and features six performing groups encompassing a range of styles, including ballet, jazz, modern, and tap.

With a diverse repertoire that includes original choreographies and family-friendly story ballets, Decatur City Dance has showcased its performances at various venues throughout metro Atlanta. As a nonprofit organization, it relies on contributions, grants, and ticket sales to sustain its artistic endeavors and support its talented dancers, many of whom trained at Decatur School of Ballet.
