The Weekend Getaway Band is an Atlanta-based, 7-piece supergroup playing the best in old school R&B, Smooth Jazz, Soul, and Motown. Their rich harmony vocals, solid upbeat instrumentation, kickin' horn section and affable stage presence always has the crowd on their feet and the good times going. Their classic sound and "family friendly" performance has a universal appeal and is perfect for concerts in the park, outdoor festivals and dance halls. The band features the vocal dynamo Allen Cook on keys, the "always effervescent" Kenneth "KB" Bentley on bass, groovin' Gene Owens on guitar, and rock solid, steady-Eddie Marcus Vess on drums. The power and punch of the band is delivered by the dynamite horn section which includes "A players", David Klausman (trumpet), Ollie Patterson (saxophone) and Jim Wile (trombone).
