Enjoy the shade provided by pecan and pine trees. This KOA is just 4 miles from historic Cordele, the watermelon capital of the world. You'll have easy access to many area attractions, including the beautiful 8,700-acre Lake Blackshear for boating, fishing and other water sports. Enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants near the lake. Take a ride on the SAM Shortline Excursion Train to President Jimmy Carter's former campaign headquarters in Plains and his boyhood home in Archery. Visit the Andersonville National Historic Site, location of the Confederate prison camp (40 miles) or tee off at Georgia Veterans Memorial Golf Course (10 miles). Great location. The campground is well maintained. The only negative is the camper across from us was cooking at the site for the field workers. The smell was awful. The owner did address them...

It pretty shady on some of the spots it got to 101 today we made it here before 4 it was so hot turned on ac in camper to get cool got trunks on to get in pool was told closed till further notice...

We arrived late and had no interaction with staff so I can't say anything about that. As far as facilities it was a little run down but was very convenient for an overnight. I wouldn't come here...
