Founded in 1940, Coastal Electric Cooperative has been providing electric services to the people of Coastal Georgia in Bryan, Liberty, Long and McIntosh counties. Based at Midway, Ga., the group offers a number of programs and services such as cooperative connections, energy efficient home-improvement loans, renewable-power generation and outdoor lighting. It also offers restoration plan in the event of a major storm or power outage, with the facility of hurricane and tropical storm tracker. Coastal Electric Cooperative is a member of Touchstone Energy, Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (Georgia EMC) and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

We've been with Coastal Electric for 3 years now and haven't had any issues with billing or payments. You do tend to see the standard rates change during the hottest and coldest months, but...

The cooperative has a partnership with Touchstone Energy, a network of more than 600 cooperatives in 44 states that serve millions of customers every day. Palmetto Electric Cooperative provides service to Beaufort, Hampton and Jasper counties in South Carolina, and maintains offices in each county.
