Clayton County Community Services Authority is committed to the amelioration of poverty and the conditions and circumstances of people in Clayton County and the surrounding areas. The agency advocates for the disenfranchised and provides for the delivery of essential services through structured programs that improve the quality of life, lead to self-sufficiency and stress responsible community involvement among its residents. The purpose of the agency is to develop and implement projects and activities that address the needs and concerns of low-income families, the elderly and handicapped residents of Clayton, Fayette and Henry counties. The primary responsibilities of the administration component are to provide support function for each program operated by the agency, such as planning, monitoring, evaluation, training, resource mobilization, public relations, advocacy, coordination, affirmative action, purchasing, and fiscal and budgetary management. The community support component of the agency provides emergency short-term financial assistance along with case management services and resource referrals to families or individuals faced with crisis situations.
