Butts County Water & Sewer Authority is dedicated to providing high-quality and reliable water and wastewater services to the residents of Butts County, Georgia. Established over 25 years ago, the authority has installed more than 250 miles of water distribution lines, now serving over 95% of the county's population in collaboration with local municipalities.

Drawing its water supply primarily from the Emerson L. Burford Water Treatment Plant on the Ocmulgee River and also from the Gerald L. Stewart Water Treatment Plant on the Towaliga River, the authority remains equipped to expand its treatment capacities alongside population growth. Additionally, it operates and is expanding a wastewater treatment system along the vital Interstate 75 corridor, thereby supporting the community's economic development.
