Craig M. Patterson, M.D., completed his fellowship at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, La. During his post-graduate training, he was selected as the inaugural Russell C. Klein Visiting Fellow for the LSUHSC Global Pulmonary Exchange Program with Ege University in Izmir, Turkey. He previously completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and medical school at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and an Eagle Scout. Before joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Patterson was in practice with Georgia Lung Associates. He is board-certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and internal medicine. His professional interests include pulmonary hypertension, venous thromboembolic disease, and critical care medicine. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and a participant in the ACCP's Pulmonary Vascular Disease One Network. Dr. Patterson enjoys cooking and travel. Coy Lassiter, M.D., graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in biology from the University of Georgia. He earned his medical degree from Mercer School of Medicine in Macon, Ga. He completed his residency in internal medicine, as well as his pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. He served as chief resident of internal medicine at Emory University Hospital from 2003 to 2004. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Lassiter was in practice with Georgia Lung Associates and has been practicing medicine for 13 years. He holds board certifications in critical care medicine, pulmonary disease and internal medicine and has training in advanced bronchoscopy. He prides himself on being a well-rounded physician and maintains special interests in interventional bronchoscopy, lung cancer and pulmonary thromboembolism. Dr. Lassiter is considered to be warm and friendly and his fellow physicians describe him as having a great vision and leadership for the practice of medicine.
