HistoryThis business was already here when I took it over. Mrs. Chandler was ready to retired and enjoy her life. Just so happen I was in the process of selling my part out of another Restauarnt . Both Restauratns were very much alike but the hours were very different. Mrs. Lib Chandler and her sisters over the years run the restaurant several different times.. The name has change from Ila cafe, Ila House of Foods and then to Ila Restaurant when I took over. It was 1/2 the size it is today. The volume of business has doubled or more.. And can you believe this! I took over the restaurant as a hobby. Just something to keep me busy! It became very profitable over the years, but when the enconomy died, so did the profit. I still manager to pay the monthly expences, but there isn't nothing left for me. But, that's OK. I do what I do because I love to entertain people and provide a service greatly needed in our community.SpecialtiesIla Restaurant specialty is our traditional home cooking.
