Heard Park, formerly known as the East Athens Community Center, offers a versatile and well-equipped facility for residents and visitors of Athens-Clarke County. This center features a gymnasium, a full-service kitchen, a multi-purpose room, as well as dedicated spaces for games, fitness, dance, arts and crafts, and a library.
Renamed in honor of former supervisor Aaron Heard in December 2021, the park continues to engage the community through various programs and activities for both adults and children. It is committed to providing opportunities for recreation, learning, and social interaction within the community.

Walking trails are paved and great for strollers. Path is relatively short and loops around, plus it's mostly shaded. Playground is right off of the path. Pool has a shallow end with splash pad...
