Bibb County Sheriff's Office

Established in 1823, the Bibb County Sheriff s Office is one of the largest sheriff s offices in the state of Georgia. The department s 300-plus officers and employees are responsible for protecting the lives and property of the residents of Bibb County. The Bibb Sheriff s Office is comprised of the administration, corrections, detention, investigation and patrol divisions. The administration division consists of the special operations unit, civil section, courtroom security services, communications division, warrant division, training division and SWAT team. The corrections division has 100 employs responsible for approximately 600 inmates. The investigation division consists of the criminal investigation, vice and forensic units.
