Beomjune Kim, DMD, MD, FACS | Head and Neck Surgeon

Leslie Popplewell, MD is a hematologist oncologist at City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta (formerly Cancer Treatment Centers of America [CTCA]). She is the Hematology and Blood and Marrow Transplant Medical Director, with a focus on treating patients with blood cancers, especially lymphoma, at locations in both Newnan, GA. In her director role, Dr. Popplewell collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to build and grow the hospital's bone marrow and stem cell transplant (BMT) program. She especially appreciates the way City of Hope approaches its bone marrow transplant program-rather than a window into a patient's journey just for a transplant, she's had the opportunity to be with them through the entire process.

Anita Johnson, MD, FACS, a breast surgical oncologist, serves as Director of Breast Cancer Center at City of Hope Atlanta. With more than 20 years of experience in breast oncology, she's been on the leading edge of advancements in health care technology and surgery, often being the first to perform innovative procedures. At City of Hope Atlanta (formerly Cancer Treatment Centers of America [CTCA]), Dr. Johnson performs oncoplastic surgery, including lumpectomies and skin-sparing and nipple-sparing mastectomies. She also performs breast ultrasounds, needle core biopsies and infusaport placements and helps patients understand the implications of genetic testing.

Kristin Higgins, M.D. is a radiation oncologist at City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta (formerly Cancer Treatment Centers of America [CTCA]). Dr. Higgins is the Chief Clinical Officer, leading the hospital's efforts supporting advanced cancer care access and innovation, while also partnering with department chairs to lead physician recruitment and clinical growth. In her dual appointment as a Professor of Radiation Oncology for City of Hope Atlanta, she continues the clinical practice, specializing in the treatment of lung cancer. Collaborating on a team of cancer experts committed to expanding access to quality cancer care remains a driving force behind Dr. Higgins' research interest in innovative combination radiotherapy treatments.
