Founded in 1957, SCLC is an organization made up of chapters and affiliates with programs that affect the lives of Americans. It relies on support of its constituents, members, contributors and supporters to carry out everyday activities and to implement programs. The organization helps to implement national programs, such as voter registration, improvement of education and direct action against racial injustice. Burger King, Wal-Mart, AT&T are some of the supporters of SCLC initiatives.
