The Augusta Jewish Museum aims to reclaim and restore the original Congregation Children of Israel Synagogue, the oldest standing synagogue in Georgia, transforming it into a vital Museum and Center for Education. Alongside the historic Court of Ordinary, the museum will collect, preserve, and interpret the rich Jewish experience in Augusta, Aiken, and the surrounding Central Savannah River Area.
