Augusta Engineering Department

Augusta Public Works Department, based in Augusta, Ga., works toward enhancing the quality of life of residents by providing safe and effective programs for management of storm water, vegetation, facilities, and transportation. The department s maintenance division works on progiding an effective and clean roadway and drainage system. It repairs and maintains sidewalks, storm drain inlets, and curbs and gutters. Additionally, it maintains the Augusta Levee and Oates Creek Flood Control projects. The department is also responsible for the maintenance and improvement of municipal landscape areas, boulevards, medians and garden areas, including two parks.
