Friends of Rabbits

Friends of Rabbits is a 501c3 nonprofit rabbit rescue group founded in 1997, serving the Washington DC Baltimore greater metropolitan area. They are dedicated to rescuing and rehoming domestic rabbits from crowded shelters, as well as stray rabbits and hoarding situations. With the help of volunteers and generous donations, Friends of Rabbits provides veterinary care and prepares these rabbits for their forever homes.

As the largest domestic rabbit rescue in the region, Friends of Rabbits has saved hundreds of rabbits each year. Their mission is made possible by the support of people who care about saving bunnies, as donations contribute to the significant costs of spaying, neutering, and providing veterinary care for these rescued rabbits. By fostering, volunteering, or adopting, individuals can make a difference in the lives of abandoned and neglected rabbits, helping them find loving homes.
