Winter Springs High School

Jackson Heights Middle School is operated by Seminole County Public Schools and is located in Oviedo, Fla. The school maintains a parent-teacher-student association that conducts periodic meetings and organizes various events and activities for the overall development of the school. It has a student council and guidance and counseling department that assist students on various topics that include friendship and social skills, family issues, grief, self-esteem, anger management, drug abuse prevention, social skills training and career education. The school also has a library media center that offers a range of dictionaries, encyclopedias, maps, magazines, portals, archives and more than 70,000 education-related Web sites as an additional resource to students. Jackson Heights Middle School has an enrollment of more than 1,200 students in grades six through eight.

Established in 1951, Edgewater High School, also known as EHS, provides a range of educational programs and services. It conducts classes in art, English, math, science, social studies, foreign languages, and business and physical education. The school serves students in grades 9 through 12. It offers guidance counseling services and operates a parent-teacher-student association. Edgewater High School maintains debate, Beta, French and drama clubs. It provides membership opportunities in the National Honor Society. The school includes a library and media center that offers books, magazines, maps, reference materials and periodicals. Additionally, Edgewater High School provides several sports activities, including baseball, basketball, cross-country, tennis, and track and field. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges and the Florida Department of Education. The school is governed by Orange County Public Schools.
