History
Whisper, a 25' Cedar Keys Sharpie, was built by your captain and naturalist, Geoff Kendrick, in 2013 and launched January 2014. The design of the boat is from the late 1800s, the type of boat that would have been used for commercial fishing in the area up until the early 1900s when the local fishermen started putting motors in the boats. Whisper's shallow draft, good turn of speed, and carrying capacity make it an ideal boat for exploring the waters surrounding the historic fishing village of Cortez.
