Wendy Bocaille, M.D., is a Baptist Health family medicine physician, who is fluent in English and Haitian Creole. Dr. Bocaille earned her medical degree at Indiana University and then completed her family medicine residency at West Kendall Baptist Hospital in affiliation with Florida International University. She also trained with West Kendall’s OBGYN Medical Group and The Palace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Bocaille has dedicated her time to FIU’s Neighborhood Health Education Learning Program, where she provided support to low-income households. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. As a family medicine physician, Dr. Bocaille builds rapport with her patients through transparent communication and shared decision-making. She is dedicated to offering culturally sensitive care and improving her patient’s quality of life. In her free time, Dr. Bocaille enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband, son and dog, Lolo.

Derek Papp, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic sports medicine physician and orthopedic surgeon with Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. On a fun note, Dr. Papp served as Major League Baseball’s venue physician in Miami and Taichung, Taiwan during the 2023 World Baseball Classic (WBC) as well as in Seoul, Korea and Mexicali, Mexico during the 2017 WBC tournament and qualifier. Dr. Papp maintains his appointment as a part-time assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he provided clinical and surgical instruction to residents prior to joining Baptist Health. During his career, Dr. Papp has served as a course director at a multitude of international orthopedic educational conferences (including in Antarctica, scheduled to return in 2026), published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented many scientific papers at professional symposiums. He is an active member of several professional societies, including the Major League Baseball Team Physicians’ Association, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy Association of North America, where he serves on the Education Committee.
