Washington County Historical Museum

History

The Washington County Historical Society was firmed I. 1986 and a museum opened in the early 1990s. We are a 501C-3 and are funded through memberships, donations and the sale of historical books. We are completely staffed by volunteers.

Specialties

The museum houses an eclectic array of artifacts depicting Washington County's history. Our research library contains a diverse collection of books and documents related to the county and its people and industries. We also have the collection of books by E.W. Carswell for sale bith at the museum and our website.
