Headquartered in Crawfordville, Fla., Wakulla County Sheriff s Office is a public service agency that provides various law enforcement services to the residents of Wakulla County in Florida. It offers various emergency services to assist local residents during times of natural or man-made disasters, and provide backup resources to all county responders. The sheriff s office also provides a victim advocate program that provides immediate assistance to individuals victimized by crime. It also offers an alert service that allows citizens to receive e-mail notifications about emergencies, such as fire, flood, hurricane preparedness, man-made and natural disasters, advisories, and missing person alerts. The sheriff s office also provides various community services, including substance abuse violence education, a ten-week program that teaches fifth-grade students about the dangers of drugs and violence. Its programs also include kid's safety day, children's fishing tournament, and child identi-kit program that is designed to photo identify children.
