In addition to being the biggest facility in Lakeland Florida, Valencia Hills also ranks among its oldest. This wisdom serves us with distinction. We offer a fantastic Sub-Acute Rehab unit for our short-stay residents recovering from acute care episodes after they have left the hospital. These services include, but are not limited too, IV therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Diabetes Management, Restorative Therapy, and 24 hour Nursing Care. Valencia?s rehab unit is unique in that we offer 12 private rooms. Valencia realizes that today?s rehabilitation patients are younger and more active then ever before, so we have tailored our programs around this. The unit specializes in the care and services necessary for dementia care patients. These services begin with a locked unit where wandering patients are able to roam freely without fear of getting out of the facility. Our dementia care services also include daily nursing care by specially trained staff that are familiar with the latest strategies and research in caring for patients with dementia. We also offer easy access to dementia support groups, educational opportunities, and a safe comforting environment for your loved one. Our dementia patients also get to enjoy all the benefits of Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies available to our short term patients. Our therapists are specially trained in working with dementia patients towards successful outcomes, to maintain their highest practicable level of functioning.
