Timothy Elliott Nowack, MD

Yelenis Seijo De Armas, M.D., is a cardiologist at Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. She diagnoses, treats and manages a wide range of cardiovascular diseases. Her clinical interests include the optimization of cardiovascular health in women and pregnant women. Dr. Seijo De Armas earned her medical degree at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in Miami. She completed an internal medicine residency as well as a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston, Fla. During her clinical training, Dr. Seijo De Armas published her work in scientific journals, presented at medical conferences, served on committees and taught medical students. She contributes to the medical community as a member of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. To provide compassionate, patient-centered care, Dr. Seijo De Armas takes time to get to know her patients and their unique needs and preferences. She recognizes their values, respects their autonomy and encourages open and honest communication. She offers her patients support to address the emotional challenges that might result from illness and educates them about their condition so they can take an active role in their health and the decision-making process. Tarak Rambhatla, M.D., is a clinical cardiologist. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular disease including critical care cardiology, cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, and heart failure. He completed his cardiology training in New York City, where under the direction of world renowned Echocardiographer Itzhak Kronzon, he mastered the utilization of echocardiography in assessment of hemodynamics and valvular heart disease, using both transesophageal and transthoracic echo. His other interest includes heart rhythm disorders, particularly early detection and management of atrial fibrillation, an arrhythmia that leads to heart failure and strokes, and affects more than 2 million Americans. He has given lectures both nationally and internationally on this topic. He is a published author in several renowned scientific journals, including the International Journal of Cardiology and JACC EP. He is also the lead author for the upcoming Echocardiography Companion, a Board Review Preparation Book for Clinicians. He is an active member of several professional societies, including the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, Cardiac Electrophysiology Society, and Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.

Patrick Azcarate, M.D., is a cardiologist at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, part of Baptist Health. Dr. Azcarate specializes in general cardiology (coronary artery disease, prevention cardiology, heart failure), echocardiography and nuclear imaging, and cardio-oncology. He is fluent in English and Spanish.Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2022, Dr. Azcarate completed his internal medicine residency at the University of California San Francisco and his cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of California San Diego. Here he grew his passion as a clinician educator for which he earned the Fellow of the Year award in 2020.He focuses on medical education to help solve complex cases through advanced diagnostic techniques and innovative treatment plans.Dr. Azcarate’s approach to patient care is to listen to his patients first and foremost, which helps forms a successful healthcare partnership. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Azcarate enjoys hiking, playing piano, traveling and pursuing photography.
