The Ice Queen

History

In 2016, some friends & I were reminiscing about the Polar Cup truck that used to travel around our neighborhood when we were younger growing up in Fort Lauderdale. Most neighborhoods had the ice cream truck, we had the Polar Cup truck. It was a lemon slushie with little pieces of real lemon in it. I wanted to recreate the lemon slushie that we grew up with so I began a Google search on how to make it but I was unable to locate an actual recipe. I did locate something similar but wasn't sure if this would work but tried it anyway. I had recreated a Polar Cup slushy! I put the leftovers in a ziplock bag then stored it in the freezer. The next day it had frozen into Italian Ice. I realized, to my surprise, that's how Italian ice was made. I took it to private events & people insisted it was so good that I should go into business. In 2017, The Ice Queen Homemade Italian Ice was born. In 2019, I bought a trailer & cater private parties all over Ocala and surrounding cities.
