Tampa Bay Academy specializes in providing residential treatment, therapeutic group home and day treatment services for hearing and deaf children with emotional and behavioral challenges. It treats children aged 4 to 18 in need of a special level of psychiatric treatment. It treats children with afflictions such as oppositional behavior, depression, family conflicts, substance abuse, promiscuity, rage, pregnancy with mental health problems, eating disorders, self-destructive behavior, trauma, chronic anxiety, school phobia and sexual abuse. A host of therapy groups are available to aid patients, including individualized group, eating disorder group, play therapy group, coping with parents group, separation and loss group, groups for deaf children and adolescents, Spanish services and services for pregnant teens.
