Tallahassee Street & Drainage Department

The Tallahassee Street & Drainage Department offers a range of services to the area community. Based in Tallahassee, Fla., the department offers drainage maintenance services, including cleaning and reshaping roadside ditches and major canals, and cleaning and restoring stormwater facilities. It is also responsible for cleaning enclosed stormwater systems, repairing damaged drainage structures; performing weed and brush control along major canals and stormwater facilities; and dredging and stabilizing outfall ditches and ponds. It is also involved in mowing public right-of-ways excluding residential curb and gutter areas; performing litter control along public right-of-ways; edging sidewalks within school zones; and trimming overhanging limbs and shrubs along public streets. The department is additionally responsible for landscape and tree maintenance, and street maintenance, resurfacing and sweeping.
