Suwannee Valley Electric Co-Op

The Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative, also known as SVEC, is a member-owned, nonprofit rural electric cooperative that serves the residents of the Suwannee River Valley in Florida. It provides electricity to residential, farm and commercial consumers in Suwannee, Lafayette, Hamilton and Columbia counties in Florida. The cooperative serves over 26,000 electric meters and maintains nearly 4,000 miles of electric lines. The Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative operates a member services division that offers billing, collections, capital credit and ordering services. Its accounting and administrative services division provides accounting, payroll, employee benefits and human resource services. The cooperative s engineering unit specializes in service upgrades and its operations department offers line construction and maintenance services. It additionally provides purchasing, metering, meter reading and information technology services. The Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative is located in Live Oak, Fla.
