State of Florida Probation & Parole Services

With a presence in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Probation and Parole Services is a part of the Florida Department of Corrections. The center monitors and supervises more than 153,000 offenders through over 150 locations in Florida. It serves offenders on control and conditional medical release and offenders released from prison on parole. Probation and Parole Services correctional probation officers supervises offenders placed on pretrial intervention. The center protects the community by supervising offenders commensurate with the level of supervision they require. Its staff members conducts investigations, including presentence and post sentence investigations and other state investigations and violation reports. Probation and Parole Services also make appropriate referrals to assist the offender with resources available to complete their term of supervision.
