St. Petersburg Fire Chief s office, a part of St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue, oversees more than 355 employees in the fire administration, prevention, operations, rescue, emergency management and training departments in the state of Florida. St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue protects the lives and property of over 260,000 residents and responds to over 40,000 emergency incidents calls annually. Its divisions include operations, prevention and rescue. It has a fleet of over five pumpers and four 100-foot elevating platforms. St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue s emergency management office maintains relationships with the education community, special needs constituencies, volunteer disaster relief organizations, public utility providers, and neighborhood and civic organizations.
