Spanish Pond is where the Spanish launched their attack on the French at Fort Caroline. You can explore this area from a boardwalk that winds its way through the marsh and forest. Across the street from the Timucuan Preserve Visitor Center.

I liked the boardwalk portions of the trail, but the rest of the trail had tree routes that were hard to push a stroller over. I wish hiking trails weren't so hard to walk a stroller on. The view...

Closed technically because it is Federal. But you can still park and walk. A lot fewer people here than other parks that are starting to open up and host hordes of people coming out of quarantine....
