Spalypso is a Day Spa. Established in 2012,previously known as 'Blue Orchid Organic', founding Massage therapist Karen Thomas found herself in NYC before settling in Sarasota. Karen named this tranquil oasis 'Spalypso' to reflect a unique joining of the words Spa and Calypso, in a nod to Calypso music which, like Karen herself, hails from the Caribbean islands of Trinidad & Tobago.

Had a massage with Karen a month or so ago. I liked her a lot! We get massage with some regularity and have had our share of good and bad. Karen is very good and the spa is a lovely setting.
