Sidney Lanier Center

Sidney Lanier-Anchor School is a choice school that serves students with severe developmental or multiple disabilities and highly mobile elementary school aged children. The school operates through a variety of departments that include art, clinic, food service, guidance, hearing impaired, media center, music, occupational therapy, physical education, and speech and vision impaired department. Sidney Lanier-Anchor School provides a variety of clubs and extracurricular activities that include basketball, baseball, excel club and safety patrol. The school has a library that offers a collection of atlases, dictionaries and encyclopedias, as well as books, puzzles, quizzes and resources for students and teachers. Sidney Lanier-Anchor School is governed by the Alachua County Public Schools and is located in Gainesville, Fla.
