Sea Star Sailing runs sailing charters - Dolphin Watch Cruises, Shelling Cruises and Sunset Sailing Cruises. Originally, we opened up as Windward Sailing, Inc in 1996 on Marco Island. Windward Sailing had Hobie Cats, Windrider Trimarans and Laser & Escape dinghies, providing sailing instruction and sailboat rentals. Windward Sailing eventually became Sea Star Sailing, trading in the Hobie Cats, Windriders, Lasers for Seaward and Catalina Keelboats. Sea Star Sailing also provides Sailing Instruction for singles, couples and families aboard our keelboats. Instruction included Reading the Wind, setting sails, stopping and starting the boat, tacking, jibing, sail trim, weather helm, navigational aids, trip planning, anchoring, docking and safety and boat management. We have trained over 1500 sailors from all over the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Europe, China, Japan.
