Operational for more than 35 years, Coastal Behavioral Healthcare is a nonprofit behavioral health care organization that serves children, adolescents, adults, seniors and families throughout southwest Florida. Also known as CBH, it serves more than 10,000 individuals through over 20 locations. The organization offers mental health, substance abuse, prevention and intervention and criminal justice services. Coastal Behavioral Healthcare, in partnership with the Florida School of Professional Psychology of Argosy University, provides training for doctorate level students in psychology. The organization offers treatment for schizophrenia, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders and adjustment issues. Coastal Behavioral Healthcare is accredited by the Joint Commission and is located in Sarasota, Fla.
